What is a Toastmasters Club all about?
THE MISSION OF THE CLUB
The mission of a Toastmasters Club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.
Through its member Clubs, Toastmasters International helps men and women learn the arts of speaking, listening and thinking - vital skills that promote self-actualisation, enhance leadership potential, foster human understanding, and contribute to the betterment of mankind.
Toastmasters is an international organisation in which a structured and self-paced program is followed by individuals promoting the following attributes:

Overcoming nerves
With practice - the kind of practice you get when you speak before an encouraging, sympathetic audience of people just like you - people who know just how you feel - positive, enthusiastic people who share a common goal of personal development as leaders and communicators.
Learning the skills
When you join a Toastmasters Club, you will receive a New Members Kit comprising a manual containing 10 graded speech projects, and 3 other manuals covering various aspects of public speaking. Also you will receive the monthly Toastmasters International Magazine.
You will have the opportunity, at your own pace, to prepare and present speeches. You will also participate in the other regular meeting segments which are fun and educational at the same time.
